“Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name.” – Psalm 100:4
Happy New Year, Issachar Church family!
As the calendar turns and we step into 2025, our hearts are filled with anticipation for what God has in store for us as a church and as individuals. The new year is a blank slate, and it’s the perfect opportunity to align ourselves with God’s plans and purposes. This year, at Issachar Church, we are declaring 2025 as “The Year of Praise and Worship.”
Why Praise and Worship?
Throughout Scripture, praise and worship are central to our relationship with God. They are not just a segment of a Sunday service—they are the foundation of a life deeply rooted in Christ. Praise lifts our spirits and aligns us with heaven’s joy, while worship draws us closer to God, transforming our hearts to reflect His glory.
As we focus on praise and worship this year, our goal is to cultivate a deeper intimacy with God and equip ourselves to face the challenges of life with faith and gratitude. Praise isn’t just something we do when things are going well; it’s a declaration of God’s goodness, even in the valleys. Worship isn’t confined to a song; it’s a lifestyle of surrender and adoration.
January 2025 Theme: "Lifting Up a Song of Praise"
We are starting the year by dedicating the month of January to praise and worship. The Bible says in 2 Chronicles 20:21-22 that when the people of Judah went into battle with singers leading the way, God fought their enemies for them. This is the power of praise—it shifts the atmosphere and invites God to work on our behalf.
What Does Praise and Worship Look Like in 2025?
As we journey through this year, we will discover that praise and worship go far beyond singing songs or attending church services. It’s about:
We believe that as we focus on praise and worship, we will see breakthroughs in our lives, our families, and our church. God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), and where His presence is, there is freedom, healing, and restoration.

As we journey through this year, we will discover that praise and worship go far beyond singing songs or attending church services. It’s about:
- Gratitude in Every Season: Choosing to praise God, even when life feels uncertain or challenging. (1 Thessalonians 5:18)
- A Heart Posture of Worship: Living a life that honors God in our words, actions, and decisions. (Romans 12:1)
- Unity in the Body of Christ: Coming together as a church family to exalt the name of Jesus and encourage one another. (Psalm 34:3)
We believe that as we focus on praise and worship, we will see breakthroughs in our lives, our families, and our church. God inhabits the praises of His people (Psalm 22:3), and where His presence is, there is freedom, healing, and restoration.
